The Journal of Teacher Education (JTE) is a peer-reviewed professional journal of policy, practice, and research in the field of teacher education. Published since 1950, JTE is the oldest publication in the field of teacher education and school personnel preparation. The American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) is the leading voice on educator preparation. AACTE represents more than 750 public and private colleges and universities in every state, the District of Columbia, the Virgin Islands, and Guam. AACTE elevates education and educator preparation through research, professional practice, advocacy, and collaboration.
