Toxicologic Pathology is dedicated to the promotion of human, animal, and environmental health through the dissemination of knowledge, techniques, and guidelines to enhance the understanding and practice of toxicologic pathology.Toxicologic Pathology, the official journal of the Society of Toxicologic Pathology, the British Society of Toxicological Pathology and the European Society of Toxicologic Pathology, will publish Original Research Articles, Symposium Articles, Review Articles, Meeting Reports, New Techniques, and Position Papers that are relevant to toxicologic pathology. Relevant topics include reports on safety assessment of pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food additives, pesticides, environmentally relevant chemicals, and medical devices; risk characterization of xenobiotics; investigative studies that contribute to refinement of the safety assessment process; mechanistic studies that provide a basis for interpreting and predicting toxicologic outcome; emerging approaches and methods in toxicologic pathology; spontaneous diseases that may influence toxicology studies, and animal and alternative models relevant to toxicologic pathology. Studies of botanicals and their extracts must include appropriate characterization of the components and concentration of active ingredients; crude extracts will not be accepted. Reviews may be contributed or invited.
