The Scandinavian Journal of Surgery is a peer-reviewed, open access journal owned by the Finnish Surgical Society. The journal is published four times a year. Reviews are carried out by members of the Editorial Board and other international reviewers representing various surgical specialties. Articles are published in American English. All contributions should conform to the recommendations stated in the Declaration of Helsinki of the World Medical Association (1964).
